COMMITMENTS
In 2001 at the company creation, the factory was located in the municipality of Réghaia in the east of Algiers until 2002, year in which the factory and the company’s headquarters were moved to the municipality of Baba Ali in the south of Algiers on a site which covers an area of around 3 hectares distributed between the chips factory, the soft cakes workshop and the various warehouses of raw materials and finished products.
In 2010 and in order to meet the growth imperatives, the Management proceeded to the assembly and installation of a new chips factory with new equipment at the cutting edge of technology in terms of production, packaging and quality control of the various products.
In 2017, the company made significant equipment investments in order to respond quantitatively and qualitatively to market demand by installing a new Natural Potato Chips production line and new packaging equipment, which quadrupled the plant’s production capacity.
Our company has an administrative building, changing rooms, a water tank, vegetable fat tanks, a waste storage area with tanks used for processing and recycling.
Finally, our company can load up to 10 trucks simultaneously.
AGRICULTURAL PARTNERSHIP
BECAUSE A GOOD POTATO CHIPS IS FIRST OF ALL A GOOD POTATO!
Since its creation in 2001, the SPA SNAX has established itself as the Algerian leader in natural potato chips thanks to partnership development with an ever growing number of farmers learning how to cultivate and harvest the potato known as “Chipsable”, which is intended for the Chips production.
By a long-term commitment to farmers, SNAX SPA secures its supplies, offers contract prices stability per harvest and provides the advices on cultivation practices as well as turnkey tools (seedlings, uprooting).
The SNAX SPA also controls its potatoes storage conditions between harvest and consumption phases in order to ensure products traceability.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Our company conducts its activities in respect with the environment and natural resources preservation by collecting and selectively sorting food and non-food waste generated by its 2 plants.
Indeed, non-food waste such as: liquid waste (water and used vegetable oil) is treated before being evacuated in dedicated pipes. Plastic waste (flexible packaging) and hard packaging (cardboard boxes) are transported to a recycling station in the east of Algiers.
